RITA KUEHNIS
Founder & Owner, Certified Daily Money Manager® (CDMM®)
I grew up in Switzerland, where I was fortunate to learn the basics of successful money handling from my mother, who taught me the importance of budgeting and saving for the future. I’m lucky and grateful for this early foundation, which has greatly influenced my approach to finances. After earning my Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, I spent 17 years in Finland. During this time, I gained extensive project management experience and learned to adapt to a new culture, further enriching my life and professional skills. Outside of my professional life, I took on the role of "our family's CFO."
My journey into Daily Money Management began with a pivotal experience: In the spring of 2015, our family, with four children aged 11 to 18, relocated to the United States. This transition left me feeling overwhelmed by the unfamiliar environment and stressed about our finances—feelings many of my clients share. The invaluable guidance of our relocation consultant helped me regain control of our family's finances and reestablish our routine. Inspired by this experience, I launched my own company in 2017 to help others as a Daily Money Manager.
In December 2023, I became a Certified Daily Money Manager® (CDMM®), a designation that validates my experience and comprehensive knowledge in the field. This certification reflects my commitment to enhancing my skills and delivering tailored financial management services to meet my clients' unique needs.
As a Daily Money Manager, I love combining my analytical skills with the opportunity to connect with a diverse range of people. It’s deeply rewarding to help my clients gain control of their finances and providing them with peace of mind so they can focus on what matters most.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and embracing the outdoors through running, hiking, or simply savoring nature. I also love reading, whether for a book club or just for fun, and experimenting in the kitchen to create and enjoy delicious meals.
